A revised set-up fee is needed for resubmission to our printer after a book title has gone live. This is why it is so important to get everything right the first time. If there are any changes, additions, or error corrections made to the initial book, the entire set-up process has to be repeated since it’s like a whole brand new book as far as the print production process goes. We have to pay the printer for additional set-up, and the print-ready file is sent to them. Once a corrected and approved final book file is in the system it is there to stay, and no more set-up fee is required. (For Print books only, e-Books must be cancelled and completely resubmitted from scratch with a new ISBN.)
If a whole extra chapter or section has been added, not only will there be the revised set-up fee, but a new copyright must be registered, or the additional material may not be protected. In this case, it may be necessary to buy another ISBN, as it becomes a “second edition”.
Before your book can be sold, you should still order a new proof copy (price is at cost plus shipping and handling). Once you approve your proof copy, we will make the book available for sale.
